Andy Britnell is a senior level technology sales executive and sales leader based in Reading, UK. He has extensive experience in the industry and currently serves as VP Sales UK for Identity Methods Limited.
He balances his professional career with a variety of other interests, including community involvement and charity work for cancer research. Additionally, Andy leads a very active lifestyle in fitness and sports, particularly martial arts and kickboxing.
Andy’s interest in martial arts was sparked at a very young age. At just eight years old he earned the title of World Junior Karate Champion. As Andy Britnell got older he zeroed in on his skills, and he has competed at the UK and European level for Kickboxing and Karate for over two decades, earning numerous British Championships and UK/European Titles in the process. Andy also studied Business Management and Exercise Science, and later Advanced GNVQ Business and Sports Studies at Farnborough College of Technology.
In addition to this, Andy has proven himself as a serious contender in just about anything involving adrenaline. He enjoys completing obstacle races such as Tough Mudder, Rat Race, Survival of the Fittest, and the GRIM Challenge. In addition to kickboxing and mixed martial arts, he is interested in Krav Maga, weight training, CrossFit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and sports such as skiing and golf.
Andy Britnell’s interest in Krav Maga is emblematic of his overall interest and skill in the military and security forces. He spent 18 months training as an Army officer Reserve – Royal Yeomanry. He is fully qualified in close protection and is full firearms trained in Poland. He completed FPOS (First person on scene) training – which is equivalent to junior paramedic level. He is fully first aid trained and is AED (Automated External Defibrillator) qualified.
In Andy’s free time, he enjoys gaining inspiration from reading rags-to-riches books and autobiographies, and continuing to work on his personal self-development. He is also working on learning Spanish.
